Musical Mondays #1

“Music and rhythm find their way into the secret places of the soul” ~ Plato

Barbershop quartet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A barbershop quartet is a group of four men that sings acapella music in the barbershop style. Most barbershop quartets belong to an international association of barbershop music enthusiasts named the Barbershop Harmony Society.

These men are fabulous! I don’t know how they decided which group was number one or number ten but we watched about 20 and these were our favorites. Click on one or both of the videos below if you have the time.

Vocal Spectrum performing at the 2006 Barbershop Harmony Society International Quartet Finals in Indianapolis. Finished 1st place.

Storm Front performing at the 2006 Barbershop Harmony Society International Quartet Finals in Indianapolis. Finished 10th place.

The laptop I'm using doesn't have sound - that part is broken.

I've heard some great Barbershop quartets though, and I know they are very talented. The harmonies are wonderful.

Happy Monday, Raggedy!!
