NoJuice

This has to be quick. We still do not have electricity. I am struggling a bit. I really did not plan my week to be anything like this one. My thoughts are scattered around and I pick them up and loose them and then stumble on them again. I picked up my planner a few minutes ago and realized I was going to do something about a little girl for her birthday. Jaycee will turn five on Sunday and I have nothing planned. I don't even know what I am supposed to do about that!

Joe and Jaycee watching a tree being removed from the yard....

We are all very tired and I don't think anyone is sleeping well. Since Sunday night I don't think anyone has had more than a few hours of sleep per night. The clean up continues and a lot of progress has been made. There is still so much to do. I will post again when I can.

Huggles and Love,

Raggedy

Raggedy, well, Hi. Now you listen to Mom and don't over do things. Hear?

Bless little Kayce's heart. She is so precious, I hope she has cake and ice cream for her birthday. If I was closer, I would bring her some.

BTW, our Karen was five when we had to climb out a high window and carry her to the neighbors up the 'hill' a little.
That was back in 1979, Tropical Storm Claudette dumped so much rain. The creek about 3/4 mile away put 33 inches of water in our house.

I don't think it affected her long term, she took it mostly all in stride. Better than we did.
We had to get all new (new to us at least) furniture, it wasn't insured. The house was.

Dear Raggedy ~~ Jim is right, you must take great care and not get too stressed. Glad the clean up and repairs are going well. It is a very difficult time for so many. Hope you get electricity soon as possible.
Look after yourself my friend, Love, Merle.

Good advice: don't overdo it. Granted, there's lots to be done (your photos are a great catalog of what the tornado did to Northwood), but take it easy ;)

so sorry to hear about the storm.we had one here in 1980 that messed our farm up really bad.

Ill tell you from experance.in just about two years it will be like it never happened.and you will all be stronger..
we had what they call a sounds like de-ray-she-o wind or stright line winds.
then few years later a tornado.and the place got back to its old self in only a year or two.so hang in there friends and take one day at a time.

God made this old world to run by its self if there was no one here.
and he will get it back to normal..

one thing that just gets me hopping mad is when some one calls stuff like this a act of God.
to that I say get your head out of your back side.God dont send tornado,s.Jesus told us who was up to that junk.
He said" the thief(devil) comes to steal kill and destory, but I(Jesus) come to give life and that life more abondantly."

your trees if they didnt tople over will send out new life.and soon all the mess will be gone.and life will go on.

Jesus said in this life we would have trials and problems but to be of good cheer he would see us through them all.

your all alive and the yard and homes and things can be rebuilt.and the earth mends.

Huggles and love to you too!

Wow!! All those photos sure show the damage.
I'm glad to hear you are all okay. Having no juice is better than having no house. :-)
Take care.

I feel so sorry for you and your neighbors. This wasn't supposed to happen just when you're seeing the light at the end of the chunnel.

Wow, Raggedy! I had no idea things were so bad up there! I'm glad you're okay but geez the damage and destruction is just incomprehensible!
I hardly know what to say that could be of any comfort but do know that I'm wishing you well and hope that things can get back to as normal as it can be under the circumstances. WE sure have missed you around here!
